Your data rights (GDPR)
Last updated: 22 July 2026
If you're in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or anywhere the GDPR (or an equivalent law) protects you, you have specific rights over the personal data we hold. We extend the same rights to everyone on the list, wherever you are.
Who is responsible
Plantrics is the data controller for the early-access list at plantrics.app. Contact for all data matters: hello@plantrics.app.
What we hold and why
Your email address, a consent record, an optional referral connection, and a short-lived one-way hash of your IP used for abuse prevention. Processing rests on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for the mailing list, and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in keeping the signup form free of abuse. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Your rights
- Access — ask what data we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected.
- Erasure — have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten"). The unsubscribe page does this instantly, no email needed.
- Restriction — limit how we use your data while a question is resolved.
- Portability — receive your data in a common, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
How to exercise them
Email hello@plantrics.app from the address you signed up with — that's usually all the identity verification we need, since it's the only personal data we hold. We respond within 30 days, almost always much sooner, and exercising any right is free.
Where data is processed
Your data is stored and processed within the European Union. We don't transfer it outside the EU, and we make no automated decisions or profiling based on it.
If you're not satisfied
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority. We'd appreciate the chance to resolve any concern first — hello@plantrics.app reaches a human.
